Butter Sauce

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine or penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside for later.
  2. Sauté the Chicken: Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Place the chicken in the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and allow it to rest.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in the heavy cream and stir continuously, cooking the mixture until it slightly thickens to create a creamy sauce.
  4. Combine: Slice the rested chicken into bite-sized pieces. Return the chicken slices and the drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Gently toss everything together to coat the pasta and chicken evenly with the creamy sauce.
  5. Serve: Plate the creamy chicken pasta generously. Optionally, garnish with extra Italian seasoning or freshly grated Parmesan cheese for added flavor before serving.

  • For extra flavor, add freshly grated Parmesan cheese when tossing pasta with the sauce.
  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce, but the texture will be less rich.
