Description

This White Hot Chocolate Mix is a delightful, big-batch homemade powder that combines white chocolate and powdered milk with sugars and salt, creating an easy-to-make mix for a creamy, sweet hot chocolate drink. Simply mix a scoop of the powder with hot milk or water for a creamy and comforting treat perfect for chilly days or cozy moments.

Ingredients

Scale

White Chocolate Mix

  • 2 bars (4 ounces each) white chocolate, chilled and roughly chopped
  • 3 cups (204 g) powdered milk
  • 1⅓ cups (167 g) confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

For Serving

  • Hot milk or hot water

Instructions

  1. Process white chocolate: Place the roughly chopped white chocolate into the bowl of a food processor and pulse until small chocolate chunks are formed.
  2. Add remaining ingredients: Add the powdered milk, confectioners’ sugar, granulated sugar, and kosher salt to the food processor with the chocolate chunks.
  3. Blend to powder: Process the mixture continuously until it becomes a fine, powdery consistency that is well combined.
  4. Store the mix: Transfer the finished white hot chocolate mix into an airtight container and store at room temperature for up to one year.
  5. Serve the hot chocolate: To prepare a cup, place about ¼ cup of the white hot chocolate mix into a large mug. Pour 8 ounces of hot milk or hot water over the mix and stir well until fully dissolved. Enjoy immediately for the best creamy taste.

Notes
