  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

This Thanksgiving Crescent Ring is a festive and delicious way to enjoy classic holiday flavors all wrapped in buttery crescent rolls. Filled with creamy mashed potatoes, savory stuffing, shredded turkey, and a dollop of tart cranberry sauce, these crescent rolls are baked to golden perfection and served with warm gravy and fresh parsley garnish. Perfect as an appetizer or main dish for your Thanksgiving feast.

Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Ring

  • 1 (16oz.) can crescent rolls
  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup stuffing
  • 2 cups shredded turkey
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted

For Serving

  • Gravy (for serving)
  • Parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and allow for easy cleanup.
  2. Arrange Crescent Rolls: Unroll and separate the crescent rolls, then arrange them in a starburst pattern on the prepared baking sheet, slightly overlapping the lower corners of the triangles to form a ring shape.
  3. Add Mashed Potatoes: Using a medium cookie scoop, portion out the mashed potatoes onto the thicker end of each crescent roll triangle, then flatten the mashed potatoes gently with a spoon or rubber spatula.
  4. Add Stuffing and Turkey: Top the layer of mashed potatoes with a scoop of stuffing, followed by a generous amount of shredded turkey on each roll.
  5. Add Cranberry Sauce: Spoon about 1 tablespoon of cranberry sauce over the turkey on each crescent roll for a burst of sweet and tangy flavor.
  6. Seal the Rolls: Carefully pull the pointy ends of the crescent rolls up and over the filling, tucking the ends underneath to secure the fillings inside the crescent ring.
  7. Brush with Butter: Brush the assembled rolls with 1 tablespoon of the melted salted butter to help them turn golden and add flavor while baking.
  8. Bake: Bake the crescent ring in the preheated oven for 17 to 20 minutes, or until the tops of the rolls turn a beautiful golden brown.
  9. Finish and Garnish: Remove the ring from the oven and brush the tops with the remaining 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  10. Serve: Serve warm with a small bowl of gravy in the center for dipping and enjoy your festive Thanksgiving Crescent Ring.

Notes

  • You can prepare the mashed potatoes and stuffing ahead of time to make assembly quicker.
  • If you prefer, substitute turkey with chicken or ham based on your preference.
  • Use softened butter for easier brushing and better absorption.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit turkey and use mushroom or vegetable stuffing instead.
  • Leftover crescent ring can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the oven to maintain crispiness.
