Ingredients
Scale
Shrimp
- 1 lb large shrimp (16–20 count size, peeled, deveined, and tails removed if desired)
Seasonings & Flavorings
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2–3 teaspoons minced garlic
- Juice of one lemon
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Melt Butter and Season Shrimp: Place the butter in a large pan and melt it over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp to the pan, then season them evenly with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook Shrimp: Cook the shrimp for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn pink and opaque, indicating they are perfectly cooked.
- Add Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and continue cooking for one more minute to allow the garlic to infuse the butter and shrimp with its aromatic flavor.
- Add Lemon Juice and Parsley, then Serve: Remove the pan from heat, stir in the fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley. Toss gently to combine all flavors, then plate and serve immediately for the best taste.
Notes
- For stronger garlic flavor, increase the minced garlic to 4 teaspoons.
- You can leave the shrimp tails on for a more rustic presentation if preferred.
- Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter sauce.
- Do not overcook shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture; cook just until pink and opaque.
