Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 9 squares Almond bark (from a 12-square package)
- 1 bag Puffcorn, 9 oz
- Christmas sprinkles, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Puffcorn: Pour the entire 9 oz bag of puffcorn into a large mixing bowl, ensuring it’s ready to be coated.
- Melt Almond Bark: Break up the 9 squares of almond bark into smaller pieces and place them in a microwave-safe bowl or large measuring cup. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until the almond bark is completely melted and smooth.
- Coat Puffcorn: Lay a large piece of parchment paper on your workspace and have a spatula ready. Pour half of the melted almond bark over the puffcorn and gently stir with the spatula, making sure even the pieces at the bottom are coated. Then add the remaining almond bark and continue stirring until all puffcorn pieces are evenly covered.
- Spread and Decorate: Evenly spread the coated puffcorn over the parchment paper. Sprinkle Christmas sprinkles generously on top for a festive touch.
- Set the Treat: Allow the puffcorn to harden and set for 1 to 2 hours at room temperature until the almond bark coating is firm.
- Serve or Store: Once hardened, break into clusters if desired, place in baggies for storage, or enjoy immediately as a delicious holiday snack.
Notes
- Use parchment paper to prevent sticking during setting.
- Microwave melting should be done carefully to avoid burning the almond bark.
- For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the almond bark before melting.
- Store in an airtight container to maintain crispness up to one week.
- Sprinkles add festive color but can be omitted or substituted with chopped nuts for different textures.
