Instructions
- Heat and Sauté Vegetables: Heat a large frying pan or wok over medium heat. Add the sesame oil, diced onions, and carrots; sauté until the carrots and onions are starting to become tender, around 3-5 minutes.
- Add Peas: Add the frozen peas directly to the pan and stir well to combine with the other vegetables.
- Scramble the Eggs: In a small bowl, beat the eggs with a fork. Push the vegetable mixture to one side of the pan, then pour the beaten eggs onto the other side. Using a spatula, scramble the eggs until fully cooked, then stir them into the vegetables evenly.
- Add Rice and Chicken: Add the cooked white rice and shredded chicken to the pan. Mix everything together thoroughly to combine the ingredients.
- Season with Soy Sauce: Pour the soy sauce over the rice mixture and stir well to evenly distribute the flavor.
- Add Butter: Add the tablespoon of butter to the pan and stir the rice until the butter is fully melted and incorporated.
- Season to Taste: Add salt and pepper according to your preference, stirring once more to combine.
- Serve: Serve the chicken fried rice hot, optionally accompanied with yum-yum sauce for an extra flavorful touch.
