Ingredients
Scale
For the Salad Bowl
- 1 Tablespoon cooking oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 head iceberg lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup dill sandwich pickles (sliced)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
For the Big Mac Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons French dressing
- 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Prep the lettuce: Wash and dry the iceberg lettuce thoroughly, then chop it into bite-sized pieces or your preferred size for the salad bowl.
- Cook the ground beef: Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the ground beef along with salt and pepper, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until fully browned and no longer pink, about 7-10 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the beef out of the pan, leaving the grease behind.
- Prepare the Big Mac Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, French dressing, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir until well combined and smooth.
- Assemble the bowl: In a large salad bowl, layer the chopped iceberg lettuce first, followed by the cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced dill pickles, and finely chopped onions.
- Garnish and serve: Drizzle the Big Mac Sauce over the layered ingredients. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top, add a dash of black pepper if desired, and serve immediately for a fresh and flavorful meal.
